Barbarossa, King of Italy, Historians consider him among the greatest medieval emperors of the Holy Roman Empire and is important for the Tuscans, mainly the people from San Quirico d’Orcia due to the fact that in the year 1155 before being appointed emperor he captured a heretic right there, in San  Quirico D’Orcia, the place from this beautiful hotel.

The room is wrapped in elegant draperies with padded headboards in precious fabrics and typical Tuscan furniture.  The design on the wall is done by local artists.
